A first-generation Croatian American from Queens, NY, Dr. Cekada earned both his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Buffalo, graduating in 2001. He completed two years of residency, first at Buffalo General Hospital and then in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, before pursuing a fellowship in esthetic dentistry in 2004.

Dr. Cekada is married to Deana, a speech therapist in a Nassau County middle school.
He has two sons, one studying business at Binghamton University, the other a junior at Commack High School with hopes to study cinematography. His favorite thing to do is attend their soccer and track and field events. His hobbies are taking his dog, Stella, for walks, running, Netflix, and watching U.S. and Croatia national team soccer games. His personal goal is to complete the Northport Cow Harbor 10k.

Dr. Alla
Fishman

Dr. Fishman earned her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and her DDS from NYU College of Dentistry, followed by an AEGD residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. Before opening her North Babylon practice, she provided dental care in Brooklyn and Massapequa, shaping her patient-centered approach.

Having had a difficult dental experience as a child, Dr. Fishman is committed to making patients feel comfortable and informed. Known for her gentle touch and clear communication, she uses the latest technology to streamline treatment and focuses on preventive care to minimize extensive procedures. She makes sure there are no surprises.

Outside the office, Dr. Fishman enjoys spending time with her two children, dancing, traveling, and caring for animals. She volunteers at a local animal shelter and fosters cats until they find their furever homes.
